63rd Damascus International Fair: New Business and Investment Opportunities in Syria

The Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce (JIACC) is pleased to promote the 63rd Damascus International Fair, which will take place in Damascus, Syria, from 26 August to 4 September 2026, following an official invitation from the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Rome to encourage the participation of Italian and Arab companies.

The Damascus International Fair represents one of Syria’s major international economic and trade events, bringing together companies, investors, business leaders and institutional representatives from different countries. The 2026 edition is organised by the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Damascus International Fair Administration.

This year’s edition takes place at a particularly significant moment for the Syrian economy, as the country seeks to accelerate economic recovery, attract investment and strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors. According to the organisers, the Fair is intended to provide a platform for international economic cooperation, business partnerships and the presentation of new investment opportunities.

In this context, the first three days of the Fair will be specifically reserved for business leaders, investors and official delegations, creating a dedicated environment for B2B meetings, institutional dialogue, partnership development and the negotiation of potential agreements. The 2026 edition will also see the launch of the Damascus World Economic Forum, held alongside the Fair to promote dialogue between government representatives, private-sector operators, investors and international partners.

Opportunities for Italian and Arab Companies

The trade show will highlight several sectors considered particularly relevant to Syria’s current development and reconstruction needs, including healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy and infrastructure, industry and manufacturing, technology and services, and agriculture. These sectors may offer opportunities for companies providing technologies, equipment, specialised services, industrial expertise and solutions capable of contributing to the country’s economic and productive development.

The Fair can therefore represent an important occasion for Italian and Arab companies interested in assessing the Syrian market, establishing initial contacts with local and international stakeholders, understanding emerging investment opportunities and positioning themselves within the evolving economic landscape.

The JIACC invites its Members and other interested companies to consider participating in the 63rd Damascus International Fair, either as visitors or exhibitors, and to use the event as an opportunity to explore potential commercial and investment partnerships.
