Saudi industrial zone sees big jump in local food companies

The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon) has said the number of food factories operating in its cities around the kingdom has increased to about 1,300, reported SPA.

This is a major boost to the kingdom’s “Food Industry Localization” initiative, which aims to increase productivity and local production, and improve quality.

The announcement came ahead of Modon’s participation as a strategic partner in the first edition of the Saudi Food Manufacturing Show, to be held from April 30 to May 2 at Riyadh Front under the patronage of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef.
