Space Economy: PwC, Italy seventh in investment relative to GDP

Total amount of 4.6 billion euros (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor Plus) – Milan, Mar. 30 – Italy plays a key role internationally in the space economy sector. According to a survey by PwC Italy, ours is the seventh country in the world for investments in space in relation to GDP, with a total amount of 4.6 billion euros and an estimated turnover of the Aerospace market in Italy of 2.5 billion in 2022. Added to the national budget (1.85 billion in 2023) are the 2.3 billion from the Pnrr, as well as 300 million from Italian participation in the Artemis program. Over the next three years, more than 3 billion in Italian investment in Esa is also planned. In 2024, public investment is expected to accelerate, reaching about 7.3 billion by 2026, including contributions to Esa, Asi, Pnrr funds and European funds.
