IMF: Italy’s GDP at +1.1% in 2023 and +0.9% in 24. Italy grows more than France and Germany

The International Monetary Fund has confirmed its forecast of Italian GDP growth of 1.1% in 2023, while lowering its estimate for 2024 to +0.9% from the previous +1.1%. This is what emerges from the quarterly update of the World Economic Outlook. The most recent forecast for Italy was released last May. In April’s Weo, on the other hand, GDP growth for Italy was estimated at 0.7% in 2023 and 0.8% in 2024. In 2022, the gross domestic product had increased by 3.7 per cent.
