Egypt-Sudan electrical interconnection project to operate by end of year

An official source at the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy revealed that the electrical interconnection project with Sudan, with a capacity of 300 megawatts, is considered to be a starting point for linking Egypt and Africa with a single electric grid.

The source explained that the first phase of the project has been put into operation, indicating that the compensators are being installed so that the line can be operated at its full capacity of 300 megawatts at the end of this year.
