Tunisia: Italy at the forefront to support reform program

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the World Bank have signed an agreement worth 1 million euros in support of the activities of the Tunisia Economic Resilience and Inclusion (Teri) Trust Fund, implemented by the World Bank to support the reform program and strengthen Tunisia’s capacity in responding to current economic and social challenges.

The signing ceremony was held at the residence of the Ambassador of Italy to Tunisia, Fabrizio Saggio, who welcomed for the occasion the World Bank’s Resident Representative in Tunisia, Alexandre Arrobbio, the director of the Regional Headquarters of the Italian Development Cooperation Agency (AICS) in Tunis, Andrea Senatori, and the World Bank’s program manager, Zouhour Karray.

Under the Teri Fund, the Italian contribution is aimed at supporting the activities of the Delivery Unit at the Government Presidency aimed at coordinating and accelerating the implementation of reforms identified by the Tunisian government as a priority and urgent.
