Incomes in Italy have increased

In 2021 the average income of working people in Italy increased compared to 2020, and not by a small amount, by 4.5 percent in a single year. There are several reasons for this growth, and they can be discerned from analysis of data from tax returns, published as they are every year by the Ministry of Economy. The data are for 2022 returns, thus referring to 2021 income: they are interesting because they show the economic situation of regions and cities in the year when several restrictions introduced to limit the spread of the coronavirus were removed.
