The total trade volume between Qatar and Italy stood at QR10.4 bn last year, with a 15% growth compared to figures recorded in 2017.
(Source: QatarChamber.com) A meeting between the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce Vice President Pietro Paolo Rampino and the Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani took place on Monday. They said both countries forged robust trade relations through mutual visits and the signing of agreements in different fields. The meeting in Doha also touched on economic and trade relations of the two countries, and ways of enhancing cooperation between QC and JIACC.
Both officials also reviewed preparations for the upcoming ‘Arab-Italian Business Forum’ to be held on October 17 in Milan, under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy. It will be organised by the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Qatar Chamber. The forum will highlight Qatar’s business climate, and will see the participation of several officials and stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. The third edition of the forum aims not only to include Arab and Italian start-ups, but also to introduce new ideas of investment projects in various sectors.
