Italy on Tuesday announced a capital grant of 500,000 euros to Lebanon for the construction of new industrial areas under the auspices of the UN organisation for industrial development UNIDO
Source: ANSA – Italian ambassador to Lebanon Massimo Marotti, UNIDO country representative Cristiano Pasini and Lebanese minister for industry Hussein Haji Hassan attended the presentation. Italy granted an initial 500,000 euros to fund the feasibility study in 2016. In addition, it will make an additional 7 million euros available by way of a bilateral loan to fund the initiative. The project aims to create three new industrial areas identified by the Lebanese ministry of industry
